Boston Seaport: Homes, Jobs & Parks on the Water

A Fresh Vision for the Harbor
Just last month crews started work on a huge mixed-use waterfront project along Boston’s Seaport. The plan includes offices, apartments, shops, and public parks right on the water. Locals have been talking about it for years, and it’s finally happening.

Jobs and Everyday Life
They’re saying it will bring thousands of new jobs and give people more places to live close to downtown. I like that they’re mixing housing with work spaces so it doesn’t turn into another empty office zone after 6 p.m.

Green Spaces and Community Feel
A big chunk of the site is set aside for parks and walking paths. They also promised some affordable units, which is nice to hear. It feels like they’re actually trying to make it a neighborhood instead of just another glass-and-steel complex.

What do you think — will this help the city or just add more traffic and higher rents? Drop your thoughts below.
