Miami's $2.4B Waterfront Hub Breaks Ground

A Fresh Start on the Bay
Just last month Miami officials gave the final nod to a massive mixed-use project right on the waterfront. We're talking over 2,000 apartments, shops, parks, and even a new marina, all packed into one big site that used to sit empty. It's one of the largest things the city has seen in years and they broke ground only a few weeks ago.

Jobs and Homes on the Way
Developers say it should create thousands of construction jobs first, then permanent spots in retail and hospitality once it opens. A good chunk of the housing is earmarked as more affordable, which a lot of folks around here have been waiting for. The whole thing is supposed to wrap up in phases over the next five years.

Not Everyone Is Cheering Yet
Some neighbors worry about extra traffic and whether the “affordable” units will really stay that way. Others are excited about the new public park space and better access to the water. City leaders keep saying they listened to community input, but we’ll see how it plays out.

What do you think—will this actually help regular people or just change the skyline? Drop your take below, I’d love to hear it.
